Feniosky Peña-Mora is the Associate Provost with responsibility for institutional programs, which encompass among other activities, developing and facilitating University-wide interdisciplinary initiatives as well as fostering and strengthening a culture at Illinois that values entrepreneurship and diversity. He is also an O’Neil Faculty Scholar and Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Formerly, Prof. Peña-Mora was an Associate Professor of Information Technology and Project Management in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department's Intelligent Engineering Systems Group, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His current research interests are information technology support for collaboration in preparedness, response, and recovery during disasters involving critical physical infrastructures; in addition to, change management, conflict resolution, and process integration during design and development of large-scale civil engineering systems.
